U.S. IPv6 Summit 2005 a Major Success; Government and Military Committed to U.S. Leadership in New Internet

14 December 2005

The U.S. IPv6 Summit 2005 successfully
concluded after leading Government and Military Officials, including Vice
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Giambastiani and Chairman of
the Government Reform Committee Congressman Tom Davis (R-VA), gathered to
discuss the opportunities IPv6 technology will bring and the importance of
the U.S. maintaining leadership in technology. "In no other nation in the
world is there the level of top level military and legislative branch
support for IPv6 that we saw at this IPv6 Summit. The bar for nations that
want to lead in IPv6 has just been raised by the U.S., which is on its way
to reclaiming the Internet leadership crown," said Alex Lightman, U.S. IPv6
Summit 2005 chairman. The event was organized by IPv6 Summit, a subsidiary
of Innofone, Inc. (OTC: INFN).

As the Lockheed Martin Marine Endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV),
which could be one of the first IPv6-enabled fielded flight systems in the
world, hung in the background, officials visited to discuss new IPv6
implementation ideas and the necessity of this new technology to develop
effective strategic and interoperable communications in the U.S.

The Summit highlighted how IPv6 is a critical enabling technology for the
interoperability of joint military and homeland defense operations, and for
the enterprise-centric operation of the entire Federal Government. "IPv6
technology is the future platform for Internet innovation and will not only
improve current communications and direct stronger connections, but will
also lead to news jobs and opportunities," said Lightman. "With top
corporate businessmen, leading government and military officials, and
premier sponsors such as Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, Agilent Technologies,
and more discussing the transition to IPv6 and various implementation
methods, it is only a matter of time until the 'New Internet' is here."

U.S. IPv6 Summit 2005 attendees also had a chance to see displays of the
video and integrated data provided by the history-making Lockheed Martin
UAV platform. The data can be sent in the new native IPv6 format or
interfaced to an existing IPv4 environment -- a great example of a
successful migration strategy that leverages the superior capabilities of
IPv6, while maintaining compatibility with legacy IPv4 environments.

U.S. IPv6 Summit 2005 is an international forum for advancing the
development and implementation of next generation Internet networks,
technologies, applications and policies. The New Internet, also known as
Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is a major upgrade to the existing
Internet (IPv4, in service since 1973) that enables thousands of new
operational applications and business opportunities, such as high-quality
TV-over-Internet, videoconferencing, military-grade security, and always-on
mobile online interaction for leadership, collaboration, office work or
videogames.

U.S. IPv6 Summit 2005 topics ranged from key industry trends and critical
features of IPv6 for military operations to the use of this technology for
the future of TV broadcasting via IPTV. The Summit featured demonstrations
of new dual-use technologies such as TV-over-IP, wireless IPv6-enabled
physical security systems, sensornets with advanced smart displays, and
powerline connectivity.

Other key note speakers include Dr. Linton Wells II, Assistant Secretary of
Defense (NII), and Assistant DoD CIO, Major General Dean Cash, Director of
Network Centric Operations Enterprise for Raytheon Systems, Dr. Gerard
Alphonse, President of IEEE-USA and Major General Dennis C. Moran, Vice
Director, C4 Systems.
