TattleMail Spam Reporting Service Gets Your Complaints Heard

27 March 2006

Hit spammers where it hurts the most -- their Internet connection. Most people receiving spam in their inbox have no idea who to complain to. TattleMail (www.tattlemail.com), a new $1 per month e-mail abuse reporting service from Emangi, Inc., solves this problem outright. 24 hours a day, subscribers can forward as many received spams as they want to the TattleMail service using their own e-mail software. In turn, TattleMail s server evaluates the cryptic routing information embedded in all e-mails and finds the person holding the "wire snips" to a given spammer s Internet connectivity. Most System Administrators have little or no patience for someone in their network spewing garbage using their resources and usually disconnect the culprit immediately.

"It is not uncommon for a child to pass by a parent checking e-mail on a home computer and, over the parent s shoulder, see graphic hard porn content landing in the inbox. This makes parents angry enough to want to report the offensive spam right that instant. But they have no idea who to report it to. TattleMail is the solution they crave," says Kerry Rogers, owner of Emangi, Inc. and its TattleMail service.

Emangi believes Internet Service Providers (ISP s) will see the TattleMail service as an important complimentary tool for their customers who are fed-up with the sheer volume of spam they are receiving.

There is no software to install. TattleMail works for anyone using any type of e-mail device, be it a cell phone, PDA, PC, MAC -- even a mainframe computer. If it can forward e-mail as a standard e-mail attachment, TattleMail gets it to the associated abuse contact.

With people increasingly afraid to answer anti-spam challenge and response e-mails (for fear they are putting their address in a spammer s address book), the obvious solution is to report the infractions to the proper authorities and trust that they will do their job -- removal of spammers from their network. With TattleMail, your abuse reports will show up as a brighter blip on a System Administrator s spam radar. Now, that s a well spent dollar!
