Symantec Completes Acquisition of Relicore22 February 2006
Symantec Corp. (NASDAQ: SYMC) today announcedit has completed the acquisition of Relicore Inc., a leading provider ofdata center change and configuration management solutions. This acquisitionis a key step in Symantec's creation of an integrated solution forstandardized, simplified data center management. The agreement betweenSymantec and Relicore was initially announced on Feb. 7, 2006. Relicore's Clarity product is the industry's only configuration managementsolution capable of automatically discovering, mapping, and trackingchanges to application and server components in real time. The combinationof Relicore's configuration management capabilities with Symantec'sexisting storage and server management solutions will allow customers togain greater visibility and control over their data center assets andimprove their efficiency and effectiveness in managing those assets.
