Safend to Demonstrate Security System for U3 Smart Drive Computing Platform

U3 GLOBAL DEVELOPER SUMMIT -- Safend, a leading endpoint security company headquartered in Tel Aviv, Israel, with offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will showcase two security solutions for the U3 smart drive computing platform. A special version of Safend Protector and Safend Auditor will be shown as new approaches to securing data on U3 powered USB smart drives to attendees at the U3 Global Developer Summit.

U3 powered USB smart drives transform the ubiquity of the USB flash drive into a private, portable and protected workspace that plugs into any computer. Safend's security infrastructure products detect which applications reside on each U3 smart drive and enforce corporate security policies. The U3 version of Safend Protector shields computers by protecting the communication ports to external devices and networks; the Safend Auditor for U3 identifies which U3 smart drives are connected to which computers. Safend's products complement network security, providing comprehensive all-around security policy enforcement while allowing the use of modern data storage technologies.
