Privacy Networks Helps Managed Service Providers Offer Integrated Email Security Solutions

16 May 2006

Privacy Networks, the email integrity company, continues to build customer momentum for its email integrity suite with the addition of leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) customers, including, 3t Systems, Consolidated Information Systems, Whatwire Broadband, NetQ, and ACS, Inc. Privacy Networks' Email Integrity Suite (EIS) eliminates the need for third-party solutions by providing a single, easy-to-use interface for managing security, archiving and remote email accessibility.

"Email security and management represents a tremendous opportunity for resellers and managed service providers as they help customers control email security and content," said Steven Berens, president and CEO of Privacy Networks. "The response we've seen from MSP customers is that our simple go-to-market strategy allows them to quickly achieve solid ROI while increasing revenues and reducing their customers' frustration with email."

Privacy Networks' EIS is designed specifically for MSPs with a single-source management and reporting interface that is common across all products. This single interface simplifies application, customer management, training and support. Advanced domain level statistics can be fed directly to MSP billing systems for accurate and timely billing. Other features include a single log-on and a common security architecture that is mail server and client independent, and is able to reliably scale to high volume MSP network levels.

Privacy Networks has lowered the barrier to entry for MSPs to deliver solutions by implementing a self-hosted offering that is easy to deploy and delivers an immediate ROI. Privacy Networks offers its Email Integrity Suite to qualified MSPs with no upfront costs and monthly billing based on actual customer usage. In addition, resellers and MSPs can offer a traditional "quick-start" license version of the EIS application for customers who would like to host their own email integrity solution.

The Privacy Networks' EIS is an integrated suite of email security and archiving software comprised of:

* PrivacyPost for spam, phishing and spyware protection

* PrivacyMobile for protecting cell phones, pagers, PDAs and BlackBerry

devices

* PrivacyLock for automatic encryption and decryption

* PrivacyVault -- the first email integrity module that automatically

validates, secures, indexes, compresses and stores email for later

retrieval

"Privacy Networks continues to deliver email security solutions that our customers use to manage email security and unwanted spam," said Dan Ganousis, vice president of sales and marketing for 3t Systems. "Through the Privacy Networks model we offer great value added capabilities to our customers with very little upfront expense and a revenue stream tied strictly to actual customer usage. The model is a clear winner for any ISP looking to offer the best in email security."

"With PrivacyPost, spam is not housed on a company's corporate e-mail server. Instead, it's housed on a remote server. Individual users actually can 'educate' the software by putting any e-mails from a spammer's domain or server onto a 'black list.' That level of control and security makes this an excellent product," said Robert Jose, vice president of sales at Consolidated Information Systems, an ISP for medical professionals founded in 1996. Prior to using Privacy Networks, the company utilized a simple point solution that did not provide the comprehensive level of spam filtering controls as does PrivacyPost.

Rob Stanley, partner at Whatwire Broadband also offers PrivacyPost to his customers. "Because PrivacyPost is very easy and intuitive to use, our customers can quickly reduce the amount of unwanted email based on their own parameters," he said. "We manage the entire system and that translates into better service, tighter security and added value we can offer all of our customers." The three-year-old Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) currently has more than 50 client companies with several hundred individuals using PrivacyPost. Within the next 30 days, the company will launch PrivacyVault for clients, such as attorneys, medical personnel and accountants, needing a complete archiving system to store and retrieve email correspondences indefinitely.

Gregory Falicia, partner at NetQ, a fast-growing MSP has been offering PrivacyPost for the past year, with plans to rollout the entire EIS suite later this year. "PrivacyPost is easy to use, reliable, and a perfect fit for our business model. It provides a secure Web interface allowing our customers to manage spam wherever or whenever it is convenient for them. PrivacyPost's equations and algorithms are catching more spam, more effectively, than any other product we have used."

Although ACS, Inc. only deployed PrivacyPost a few months ago, it already sees vast improvements over prior email security solutions. Ron Younts, chief operating officer of the 10-year-old firm said, "We had been doing our own spam filtering both for our customers and for ourselves and it was extremely time consuming and not very effective. Privacy Networks has a great management interface that allows us to seamlessly add new subscribers and manage their accounts from a single, integrated system."
