Panda Software Teams Up Once Again With Save the Children21 December 2005
Since 2003, in line with its sense of corporate social responsibility, Panda Software works with Save the Children in its project to make the world a better place for young people.
In December, and for the third year running, the international IT security company will be making a donation to this NGO, which on this occasion will be aimed at alleviating the effects of famine among children in Niger. In addition, the company's greeting cards, both traditional and digital, are also associated to its efforts to help Save the Children in that it will include the NGO's logo and a description of the project that will benefit from the donation.
This initiative takes place within the framework of the agreement signed by Panda Software and Save the Children in September of this year, which anticipates a series of actions, campaigns and projects aimed at achieving a better world for children.
Previously, the company has made two donations to this NGO. One, in Christmas 2004, aimed at helping displaced children in Darfur (Sudan) by setting up health clinics and distributing food and humanitarian aid. Another donation, made one year earlier, went to finance the creation of new playcenters for underprivileged children in Spain. Save the Children, on its part, also supported the "Children and the Internet: don't let them talk to strangers," campaign promoted by Panda Software and aimed at making parents aware of the risks their children face when using the Internet without supervision.
This work with Save the Children, along with other action carried out regularly by Panda Software, is part of the company's commitment to helping improve conditions for everyone, especially those most in need.
