New Blog For Campu Security and Police Announced

There is a new forum for Police and Security personnel to use that will facilitate communication among its users.

This site is designed to allow people to share ideas on a variety of issues. Some of the issues addressed are Clery Act compliance, crime prevention, how sworn officers and non-sworn officers can coordinate activities and how technology can be effectively used to combat crime.

The publisher invites anyone in the Public Safety industry to join the blog and present ideas that will be helpful to others in the field.

http://www.campus-security.blogspot.com attempts to bridge the often confusing waters that surround campus law enforcement and security. It is the hope of the publisher that this will enhance security at various schools and be a way of sharing effective security and safety strategies that have proven effective at various institutions of learning.

The publisher will accept non-copyrighted articles for publication on the web site that are informative or that allows others to learn from mistakes or from things that have proven successful. The idea is to help others with making their campus as safe as it can be.

This site is also useful for those in administrative positions in colleges and universities who feel they do not have a complete picture of what campus security is all about.

With a few clicks of the mouse one can check to make sure that their school or university is doing what is required by the Clery Act and the Department of Education.

If you are the parent of a young person about to enter college for the first time, then you may click a link and see what the professionals in the police and security field feel are important issues or you may click one of the links and read the Clery Act for yourself. All who have an interest in campus safety and security are invited to join the discussion, ask questions or just learn from the content on the site.
