Microsoft’s Sanjay Tandon Moves on to Provide Thought Leadership to the Enterprise Security Space

16 August 2005

After serving Microsoft Corporation in two equally prestigious capacities, Sanjay Tandon has moved on from Microsoft to establish Sanjay Tandon Inc. (www.sanjaytandon.com), a security company focused on and determined to help organizations worldwide secure and defend the ultimate protector of their net worth, their security infrastructure.

Tandon’s contributions to Microsoft helped improve the security posture of scores of Fortune 500, numerous national and international government and business organizations, and other global powerhouses around the world. Earlier this year, he conducted a risk assessment of Microsoft’s security infrastructure and helped Microsoft improve its security posture.

“Security is an important issue for organizations as well as individuals. The work that Sanjay Tandon is doing to help organizations become and stay secure is great for the ecosystem. I would advise all organizations to attain and maintain a sound security posture,” said JC Cannon, Senior Privacy Strategist with the Trustworthy Computing Group at Microsoft Corporation.

Armed with authoritative expertise on Windows security, valuable enterprise software development experience, a novel approach to information security, and invaluable real-world IT security experience, Tandon is poised and determined to help organizations worldwide attain and maintain a sound security posture.

“We live and do business in a dynamic, fiercely competitive and increasingly insecure world. Instead of being free to focus their energy and resources on succeeding in business, organizations across the world are being forced to spend significant resources towards combating the menace of rampant and incessant threats to their information assets The situation continues to exacerbate and unfortunately, for as crowded as it is, the enterprise security solutions space doesn’t seem to have any real solution,” said Tandon.

“We intend to change that. We intend to help organizations attain and maintain a sound security posture so that they’re free to focus their energies and channel their resources on doing what they do best – take on the right business risks to succeed in business. We intend to do so by empowering organizations to secure and defend the very foundation of access management and information security at their organization, their security infrastructure,” he added.

A security breach in an organization’s security infrastructure could result in the compromise of all its information assets putting the entire organization at high risk and in the worst case scenario directly impacting business continuity. Tandon is thus convinced that the protection of an organization’s security infrastructure must be its #1 priority. Towards the same, he intends to build and deliver the world’s first and most trustworthy security framework specially designed to protect security infrastructures.

Tandon will also develop and provide innovative security products and unparalleled consulting services in the areas of identity and access management, aimed at solving specific pervasive security problems and helping customers leverage their IT security investments to gain competitive advantage. Finally, Tandon will compliment his product and service offerings with an exclusive set of security training offerings aimed at producing the world’s finest security infrastructure architects and administrators.

On August 15, 2005, Tandon launched the Red Arrows, a unique set of consulting services exclusively designed to enable and empower customers to assess the trustworthiness of and secure their security infrastructure and their information assets.
