Major U.S. International Airport Selects Bioscrypt

19 January 2005

Bioscrypt Inc. (TSX: BYT), a leading provider of identity verification technology, announced today that Bioscrypt's biometric fingerprint readers are a component in the winning bid
for a security upgrade at a major U.S. International Airport.

The airport industry continues to demonstrate that it is aggressively
adopting biometrics. As initiatives to increase security at ports of entry
move forward, it is important that all potential points of access be
addressed. With the implementation of biometric access control readers at
employee-only areas such as runways, tarmacs and baggage handling areas,
airports are introducing multi-factor authentication. Biometric verification
strengthens security by adding the element of who you are to a process that
traditionally is limited to what you have or what you know in order to gain
access to restricted areas.

"We are pleased to provide the biometric physical access component to
this significant International Airport's security infrastructure," said Robert
L. Williams, President and CEO, Bioscrypt. "We believe that the system
designed for this project is one that can be replicated at airports around the
world."
