Joselyn Stewart, Former ISO for WellStar, Joins Vigilar

Vigilar, Inc., the leading information security consulting firm, today announced that Joselyn Stewart has joined the Company as a Compliance Practice Manager. Ms. Stewart has spent the majority of her 25-year career developing and implementing compliance action plans and enterprise-wide security policies for organizations in the healthcare and financial services industries. Vigilar will leverage Ms. Stewart’s real world expertise to enhance its compliance and assessment services division.

For the past nine years, Ms. Stewart was with WellStar Health Systems, an Atlanta-based not-for-profit health care provider. As WellStar’s Information Security Officer, she was responsible for creating and executing the company’s strategies for network security, incident response, risk management, threat and vulnerability management, forensics, compliance and assessment oversight, and employee security training. In this position, she created and maintained an enterprise-wide information security policy and gained valuable, first-hand experience preparing the company for several audits, including GLB and HIPAA. During her tenure, Ms. Stewart also held positions as WellStar’s network security administrator, project leader, IS liaison and IS support manager.

Prior to WellStar and over a span of 16 years, Ms. Stewart was responsible for training, developing policies and procedures, and re-engineering business work flow and processes for the Life Insurance Company of Georgia, a $295 million life insurance company existing under the parent company INC US Financial Services.
