Home Break-In - Computer TV and More Stolen

On November 17th of this year, a home on Long Island was broken into and had several items stolen, including a TV, laptop computer, fax machine, and other electronic equipment. The laptop was the business computer for the wife, and as a sales representative, the laptop contained sensitive data that represented sales and financial information for hundreds of clients. On November 23rd, the stolen computer was used and sent a covert alert to The CyberAngel Security Monitoring Center, providing the location details from where that computer was being used. CSS, Inc. alerted local law enforcement authorities and provided them with the location information to be able to secure a search warrant for the premises. Within a couple of days, the laptop computer was recovered and back in the owners hands. All of the client information on that computer was secure and intact upon recovery.
