Former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Joins Comnetix Inc25 January 2005
Comnetix Inc (TSX: CXI), a leading provider of biometric identification and authentication solutions, announced that, as of January 24, 2005, John Manley, Canada's former Deputy Prime Minister, has joined Comnetix Inc as a special advisor. Manley was appointed Deputy Prime Minister in January 2002 and given special responsibility for security in response to 9/11. In his capacity as special advisor, Manley will advise and counsel the Company on various matters, including matters related to homeland security both in Canada and the United States. James P. During this time he held nine Cabinet Posts under the 26th Ministry -- Government of Jean Chretien, the most recent of which was as Deputy Prime Minister from 2002 through 2003. His career in the Cabinet began as Minister of Industry, and progressed to Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, Minister of Infrastructure and Crown Corporations, and Minister of Finance, both in 2002.
