Extreme Networks' Premier Services Program Delivers Insight and Visibility for the Connected Enterprise

Extreme Networks,
Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR), the leader in open converged networks, is introducing its
Premier Services Program to address the critical challenges faced by CIOs,
allowing them to go from reactive to proactive management of their network
resources. The new services program is an innovative multi-vendor solution to
help customers optimize their IT infrastructure with the tools and expertise
that they need for a holistic view of all that is occurring in their network.
Until now, IT leaders have had to choose between complex management
applications, piecemeal point solutions, or cost-prohibitive managed services
to obtain the level of detail needed to monitor, evaluate, analyze and
determine what is really occurring in their network. Customers -- from the
network manager to the CIO -- require real-time information at their
fingertips to properly determine when changes must be made to their network.
The Premier Services Program delivers a collection of hosted tools that
address all connected devices on multi-vendor networks. The tools
automatically discover and detail information on devices, providing in-depth
information on application and infrastructure availability and performance.
The service establishes performance benchmarks, allowing IT decision-makers to
more accurately optimize and extend the value of their enterprise investment.
It helps staff choose to increase or decrease WAN bandwidth at any location,
to determine the impact converged applications have on the IT infrastructure,
and to deliver the required performance and availability for transactional ERP
applications.

tools and services that can be adjusted for different business types,

The solution includes modules for customers to choose from, including:
network monitoring, network cost/system optimization, traffic and application
analysis, security optimization, convergence planning and management, and
network documentation. Many of the modules can be deployed in hours rather
than weeks, which can allow IT staff to realize a faster return on investment
and more quickly focus on maximizing IT performance and availability, rather
than worrying about day-to-day network operations.
