Department of Homeland Security Selects Websense to Provide Secure Internet Use for 40,000 Employees

(NASDAQ: WBSN), the world’s leading provider of employee internet management solutions, today announced that the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has selected Websense® software to enable a broad range of protection for its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) division with 40,000 employees. This adds DHS to a growing list of major U.S. government agencies and departments currently using Websense software, which includes the Army, Air Force, Navy, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and National Institute of Health.

The DHS chose Websense Enterprise® software to manage employee web access and protect their networks from emerging threats such as spyware, viruses, and malicious mobile code. In addition, Websense offers high-performance, highly-scalable web filtering and security to improve employee productivity and reduce legal liability for the ICE division.
