Bert Buffington Joins ProtectPoint Security, Inc. Premier Managed Security Service Provider27 March 2005
ProtectPoint Security, Inc. a leading Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP), today announced the addition of Bert Buffington as Vice President of Operations. Buffington will oversee the global operation and management of the company’s customer support and response staff, product development, and information technology driving the advancement of its industry leading fully managed Firewall/Intrusion Detection Prevention Systems (IDPS).
Prior to joining ProtectPoint, Buffington served as Vice President of Technology Solutions for Marconi Communications, Chief Architect and Vice President of Engineering for Metapath Software, and senior manager of software development for GTE, US West, and Telesciences.
Buffington holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition, Buffington has completed certification in network security systems including being a Certified Check Point Security Expert (CCSE) and Administrator.
